What Sign Are You Looking For?

The cleansing of the Temple at the start of Jesus’ ministry, right after the Cana sign of turning water into wine, represents the zeal Jesus had for doing the will of His Father. In essence, Jesus was predicting the end of Old Testament worship, the end of the Temple era, the end of the former covenant. Now, on this prediction or prophecy, He was saying, “Kill this body & I will resurrect in three days.” They wanted a sign; He gave it to them – the sign of Jonah – death, burial, & resurrection. This is the only sign the Christian should be concerned with when delivering the Gospel of God. He has risen! He is alive! He lives in me! He wants to live in you too!
